Jeffery Wittmann

Jeffery is a seasoned trial lawyer with over 30 years of experience. Called to the Ontario Bar in 1992 and the BC Bar in 1995, he has represented clients at all levels of court in British Columbia, including the Court of Appeal.  

His litigation practice spans a wide range of areas, including defamation, wrongful dismissal, complex commercial disputes, creditor’s remedies, estate litigation, strata property law, and real estate litigation. He also advises and defends lawyers and real estate professionals in disciplinary matters.

 Jeffery has a strong practice in entertainment and technology law, representing Canadian and U.S. producers, as well as companies navigating internet and high-tech regulations. He provides guidance on privacy law, copyright compliance, and artificial intelligence-related legal issues. He also has experience litigating cases under the new Intimate Images Protection Act, including matters involving deepfake images.

Outside of his legal practice, Jeffery is an avid mountain biker and road cyclist.
